Maybe 3 and 1/2 stars. I liked the H/h but the rest was not as strong as I would have liked. Things like silly or formerly good (in earlier books) villains, words used incorrectly and convoluted conflict resolution were unexpected in a Sherrilyn Kenyon book.

I generally read all kinds of romance. Lately, urban fantasy, unusual PNR and post-apocalyptic themes have been interesting to me. Good historical romance is still on the menu. I favor smart, capable heroines paired with even smarter, more capable heroes.
